Volleyball San Diego

Beginning in 1988, Volleyball San Diego has grown and evolved to its present format involving skill clinics, tournaments and the city recreation programs in Carlsbad, Poway and San Marcos. While enrollment and game regulations have changed, the cornerstones of our indoor, year-round, four-person, adult recreational leagues have not. Skill improvement, fitness, competition and just having fun are embedded in each session to make the individual enjoyment of each player paramount.

All players register through the recreation department in their city of choice. After a series of drills and skill tests on the first night, four-person, coed teams of similar abilities are made up by the league coordinator. Most leagues are divided into divisions in order to surround each player with others of a similar ability and experience level. All matches are officiated and results totaled until the final night when all teams enter a season-ending tournament to decide the champions and award recipients.

Over the years, thousands of players have participated in these leagues and a synergy of competition, fitness and friendship has developed. Come and join us. There's always another great season just around the corner.
