Volleyball San Diego and Islands Restaurants are proud to announce a new working relationship.
Islands has been a San Diego favorite for more than 25 years. With ten locations throughout the county, you can find some of the very best appetizers, salads and burgers in San Diego in your own neighborhood. Relax with family and friends while enjoying awesome surf and ski videos, ice cold beer, mai tais, and delicious food. You can also visit Islands for Happy Hour during the week from 3 pm to 6:30 pm for great deals in the bar.
Volleyball San Diego began more than 30 years ago and has evolved to its present format involving clinics, tournaments and the city recreation programs in Carlsbad, Poway and San Marcos. Skill improvement, fitness, competition and just having fun are the cornerstones of their indoor, year-round, adult recreational leagues and tournaments. Over the years, thousands of players have participated in these leagues and a synergy of competition, fitness and friendship has developed.
Volleyball San Diego founder Dick Leatherman said, “Islands is a great place to eat and our leagues are a great place to work up an appetite. It’s a perfect relationship. My family has been going there for years and I know our players will enjoy the atmosphere and the food.” Islands San Diego regional manager Sandy Riehman was happy to get involved. “We are always looking to support active people who help build our San Diego community.
